A one-off free workshop for anyone interested in flatfoot dancing.  During this class Jo will teach everyone the basic flat footing steps as well as throwing in some fancy syncopated stuff for more experienced dancers.

The class will be timed to be on the same day as the Harrison’s monthly old time/bluegrass session which is a great opportunity to stick around and try out some of your new moves.  The session goes from 19:00 till 22:00.

Flat footing is a style of improvised percussive dance from the Appalachian mountains in the South-Eastern United States. It is related to many other dance styles such as stepping, clog dancing and modern tap dance. There’s loads more information about flatfooting on Jo’s page here.

This is a free workshop (it really is free) but we’ll be collecting voluntary donations after the class to help fund future courses.
